A Wisconsin police officer and a student were injured during an officer-involved shooting at an Oshkosh high school.

Police were forced to intervene after an armed student confronted the OPD officer around 9 AM this morning, resulting in an exchange of fire.

According to Fox6Now, both individuals are in the hospital.

The school involved has been evacuated, and students have been taken to another school to reunite with their parents.

The incident has been turned over to the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation.

The shooting comes less than 24 hours after a nearly identical incident took place 90 miles from Oshkosh, with the prior incident happening in Waukesha.
