An intoxicated South Carolina ex-cheerleader who attempted to talk her way out of an arrest by telling an officer that she was a “very clean, thoroughbred, white girl” has pleaded guilty to a DUI charge.
According to The Smoking Gun, Lauren Cutshaw was arrested last August in Bluffton after she sped through a stop sign at 60 miles-per-hour. Cutshaw blew a .18 BAC and failed a field sobriety test after telling the officer she had only two glasses of wine.
In a now-viral dash cam video, Cutshaw tried to barter with the officer during her arrest. She told him that she’s a “clean girl” and that she had “perfect grades” through high school and college. She went on to explain she graduated from a highly accredited university, was a cheerleader, and that she didn’t want to know what it was like to go to jail.
Cutshaw, who is a real estate agent, will have to pay a $187 fine and complete the state’s Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program.
