We’ve all heard historians praise Abraham Lincoln as the president who brought the country back together after the Civil War, who freed the slaves, and was an all-around good guy.
But even good guys sometimes wear black…
Aside from the lies spread about why the Civil War was fought, history books are attempting to cover up the truth about Lincoln’s dark side. That is, this president is responsible for the largest mass execution in US history.
In 1862, Lincoln ordered the mass hanging of 39 Santee Sioux men accused of treaty violations, such as hunting off their reservation. Originally, authorities wanted him to execute all 303 Indian males that were found guilty of the violations. But Lincoln was concerned with the optics this would present to Europeans on the fence about joining the South in the Civil War. So, being the politician he was, he had the authorities trim the list down to 39 men— a much more ‘acceptable’ number, we suppose— in order to appease Minnesota politicians.
These men, whose only ‘crime’ was hunting food, were murdered at the behest of ‘Honest’ Abe Lincoln. But let’s face it: These men and thousands of other Native Americans were killed for their land and to placate Lincoln’s political buddies.
Don’t make the mistake millions of other have and take the text from history books as gospel. As the Liberal Agenda infects our schools and our businesses with its lies and its perverted distortions, it’s more imperative now than ever to make others listen to the truth.
